Civic, Convention, & Main Street

As the Main Street Coordinator, Nicole plays a vital role in revitalizing and promoting the economic development of our community's main street. She collaborates with local businesses, community organizations, and government entities to enhance the overall appeal, sustainability, and growth of our main street district. This position has such a significant impact on the vitality and vibrancy of our community.

Some of her duties include:

  • Managing The Dome Civic and Convention Center.
  • Main Street Revitalization: Develop and implement strategies to revitalize and enhance the economic, cultural, and social aspects of the main street district.
  • Business Support: Provide guidance and support to local businesses within the main street district, offering resources, workshops, and assistance to help them thrive.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships and partnerships with local businesses, property owners, community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and support the goals of the main street district.
  • Promotional Activities: Coordinate and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to attract visitors, increase foot traffic, and raise awareness of the main street district's unique offerings.
  • Event Planning: Organize and oversee various events and activities such as street fairs, festivals, markets, and community gatherings to engage residents, businesses, and visitors and create a sense of community.
  • Design and Beautification: Work with stakeholders to enhance the visual appeal of the main street district, ensuring attractive storefronts, signage, landscaping, and street amenities that align with the district's character and branding.
  • Grant Management: Research and pursue grant opportunities to secure funding for main street improvement projects, facade renovations, and other initiatives that contribute to the district's overall enhancement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze relevant data to measure the effectiveness of revitalization efforts, prepare regular progress reports, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Community Engagement: Foster community engagement by organizing public meetings, workshops, and forums to gather input, address concerns, and ensure that community members have a voice in the main street revitalization process.
