On March 19, 2020, Texas Governor Greg Abbot declared a second state of emergency related to the outbreak of COVID-19 and ordered the closing of restaurants and bars for dine-in, along with the closure of all gyms, schools and social gatherings of 10 or more people. Residents are encouraged to support local businesses and restaurants that are offering drive-up, carry out and delivery options as alternative options to help support social distancing and no gathering in groups of 10 or more.
