Organization

The Borger Police Department is a full-service organization with a current authorized strength of 32 sworn officers.  The officers, staff, and employees of the Department strive to ensure the safety of our citizens and the continued strength and stability of our community.  

The Borger Police Department is organized into two Divisions; the Patrol Division and the Support Services Division.  As a full-service Department, officers have the potential for additional assignments, including Traffic Unit, Bicycle Patrol, Honor Guard, Criminal Investigations, Crime Prevention & Community Outreach, and School Resource Officer.

The Patrol Division Currently staffs four shifts working 12 hours and rotating every 3 months between Day and Night Shift.  A Sergeant, Corporal, and 3 Patrol Officers comprise each shift.  Two Motor Officers work a rotating schedule based on the department's needs. 4 School Resource Officers work through the Support Services Division.

Goals & Mission

It is the goal of the Borger Police Department to provide a safe environment for all who live in Borger and those who visit Borger. The City of Borger is a great place to shop, go to the movie, or take in Huber Park. Our goal is to be courteous and helpful to the needs of all citizens that may come in contact with the men and women of the Borger Police Department.
