The Administration Department oversees all departments and the daily operations of they City. The department includes the Office of the City Manager, Public Communications Division, City Secretary and Human Resources.
The City Manager's Office handles the general administration of the City and executes the polices and objectives of the City Council. The City Manager is directly responsible to the Mayor and the City Council and oversees the day-to-day operation of the City by coordinating all City Department activities and function.The City Manager's Office also conducts and manages all special projects and high level planning functions of the City to achieve the mission, vision and strategic pillars established by the City Council.
The City of Borger Public Communications Division is part of the City Administration Department and the Communications Manager serves as the main resource for managing public information communications, digital, print and broadcast content production and media relations to provide external and internal audiences with current information regarding all aspects of City operations; and in marketing and public relations activities to create and maintain a favorable public image of the City of Borger.
The City Secretary is appointed by the City Council. She is responsible for managing and coordinating the agenda process for City Council; managing Vital Statistics for the City; producing Proclamations; conducting the City's general and special elections; serving as the City’s Records Manager and Public Information Officer; and coordinating and managing the public information function including compliance with Public Information Act.
The Human Resources Department serves as support for all City departments and employees by administering all employee related activities.The Human Resources Department strives to provide great customer service to everyone, internally and externally, by creating a positive environment where everyone matters and everyone makes a difference.
